Texas Wedding Photography
A few weeks ago I was honored to attend a beautiful green, blush and romantic wedding inspired shoot at The Nest at Ruth Farms in Dallas, Texas. But this was not an ordinary shoot. This was a day of fellowship, learning and togetherness with other women creatives. The Nest was the most perfect venue for our gathering. A open and welcoming space. It was planned by a team of “sit with us” kind of women. They didn’t want our money, or our business cards. In fact, they fed us, gave us hugs and gifts! There were no expectations that we would learn some magic trick to succeed. They just wanted us to come. To sit with our fellow creatives and entrepreneurs and just “be”. To write our goals and affirm each others dreams.
In a field full of competition, exclusivity and doubt, this in itself was a breath of fresh air.
Two years ago, I never would have dreamed I’d be attending events like this. One year ago, I would have wanted to go, but would have been too scared. This year, I was ready. We (Danny and the kids came to Dallas too) packed up the car on a Monday night, headed to Dallas. Woke up early, and headed to The Nest. Ready to learn, ready to meet some amazing women, and celebrate ALL of our talent.
I hope you enjoy the art we created at the green, blush and romantic wedding inspired shoot at The Nest at Ruth Farms. It was a dreamy day that was SO good for the soul. So many thanks to Collaborate DFW (Kate and Rosy) for this amazing day.
Succulent accessories from Details Dallas Floral. So cute and I cannot wait to incorporate them into some upcoming shoots!
This bouquet was absolutely stunning. Huge thanks to the ladies of Detail Dallas florals for teaching us how to better photography bouquets. Can we talk about how amazing this dahlia is?
Bridal suite dreams come true.
Oh! And before I forget, here is the link to my Amazon dress that so many people asked about!
I was also finally able to meet some friends from online courses, Courtney and Brianne! I’m not sure which one snapped which photos of me, but they’re amazing and I’m so thankful to have these new headshots!
