Classic East Coast Wedding
Ann Spencer and Austin
Traveling to North Carolina for this classic east coast wedding was a dream come true! While Texas has captured my imagination, the east coast still has my heart. Nothing is better than the fall on the east coast when leaves start to turn and warm days are followed by cool nights. It’s the perfect time of year for a celebration. Paired with a classic blue and white color palette accented by bright florals and sentimental touches throughout the day, it was stunning to say the least!
Ann Spencer and Austin chose a classic blue and white color scheme to be the base palette for their day. Against the white backdrop of the Olde Providence Racquet Club it stood out in the best way! The array of pink, gold and berry colored florals popped in contrast to the bridesmaids white gowns and the groomsmen classic tuxes. Blue and white linens and tapestry accented with gorgeous greenery and gold touches graced the venue to create a chic and preppy vibe. The lounge areas with couches, cozy throw pillows and tall tables encouraged guests to gather and chat while enjoying the aesthetic.
The sentimental touches started with Ann Spencer’s wedding gown. Her mothers gown became her own, slightly modified to remove the sleeves. The sleeves were then used as wrap on her own and each bridesmaids bouquets. Austin wore cufflinks gifted to him by his late mother that were presented by his father. He continued to carry on his mother’s legacy by carrying a single pink flower and placing it on the chair that would have been hers. Beautiful, meaningful and full of love, just like a wedding should be.
A light mood filled the reception as speeches, dances and a playlist for the ages commenced. I thought there might be some good dancing after following Ann Spencer and Austin on IG for awhile, and they did not disappoint! They twirled and rocked the night away in their matching checkered vans! Their guests filled the dance floor around them and everyone enjoyed their late night BoJangles snack!
Keep scrolling to see their beautiful day, it was certainly a September to remember!
Thank you, Ann Spencer and Austin, for letting me part of your amazing wedding day!
