McNay Art Museum Bridal Portraits
Fontaine
It’s no secret that McNay Art Museum bridal portraits are a sought-after experience for San Antonio brides. This evening with Fontaine, featuring the McNay courtyard and famous Spanish steps was the quintessential bridal session.
Fontaine’s bridal look was elegant and refined. Her a-line gown was a soft chiffon fabric that was perfect for the Texas heat. A bridal bouquet in a classic cascade of blue and white provided by Blume Haus Florals looked stunning against the soft gown. My favorite part of her gown was the “oh so Southern” bow details in the back. It blended seamlessly into the train of the gown with its long ribbons but was a fun and modern detail.
The blue Manolo Blahnik’s Fontaine chose were the most beautiful something blue for her day. Featuring the classic Manolo square gem detail and a still walkable heel, they truly are some of the best bridal shoes. It was also fun to see them against the bright background of the Spanish tiles at The McNay!
My favorite part of this McNay Art Museum bridal portraits was learning about Fontaine’s veil. Her family was an early Texas family and the veil had been passed down to brides in the family since the 1800s. When the original veil became too delicate to handle, the family sent it to a boutique in London to have a replica made. A someone who loves family heirlooms, this story made me a little teary-eyed.
Enjoy perusing these gorgeous images from Fontaine’s bridals, she was stunning and so kind!
