Ma Maison Spring Wedding
Like so many couples, Raleisha and Matt had their wedding planning affected by the pandemic. Finally, their Ma Maison spring wedding came to life in late February on a beautifully overcast day. The clouds might have been unwelcome at first, but they created such a romantic feel to the whole property that by the end of the day, they were appreciated. The famous mint green Ma Maison “birdcage” was adorned with flowers from Remi and Gold and just looked ethereal!
Raleisha and Matt spent so much time ensuring their event was welcoming for their guests and meaningful to them. Throughout the event, the couple had touches of personalization everywhere. From delicious treats to sharing the day with Mika the pup! The floral installation at the ceremony site was one of the most stunning displays of flowers, with colors that made you feel like you were in a French chateau. Transitioning to the reception was seamless with signature drinks named after the couple’s pets and a fun cocktail hour. Their beautiful reception was set in hues of pinks and golds with candles and low centerpieces. It was the perfect tablescape to encourage guests to relax and socialize.
One of my favorite parts of the day was having Mika, the couple’s Goldendoodle, around. She’s the sweetest pup and I had met her at a session before. She followed Raleisha around like a, well, like a puppy! She loves her mom and dad and was such a good flower pup and even sat quietly through the whole ceremony.
The couple also wrote their own private vows, and while I love tradition, there is something so special about unique vows. Hearing couples inside jokes, significant events, and how they came to be is something I treasure even more than tradition.
