Camp Lucy Wedding Editorial

Camp Lucy Wedding Editorial

Inspired by Iconic Architecture, Italian Al Fresco Dining, and a nod to Bridal Fashion

Camp Lucy is arguably one of the most unique and architecturally interesting venues in the Austin area. It boasts multiple ceremony sites and an array of on-site lodging for weddings and getaways. For this editorial, we were honored to breathe life into the stunning Ian’s Chapel. It is adorned with Mexican tiles to honor the proximity of Texas to Mexico and architectural features imported from Vietnam. This beautiful venue was the first at Camp Lucy. It remains a hidden jewel, and in spite of its exquisite interior, it doesn’t seem to get enough attention.

Our goal was to use the existing architecture to bring a European feel to the day while still highlighting some of the South Asian accents. Candlelight illuminates the chapel’s interior for the indoor ceremony and bright florals highlight the ceremony arch. Paired with our bride’s romantic gown and bridal slippers, it creates a soft ambiance that is in contrast to the sturdy woodwork.

Our paper goods and table settings of the day are very European inspired with a soft neutral palette and pops of blues. The hanging florals over our table allow for the guest’s eyes to wander to the top of the awning to notice the carvings and stunning detail of the pagoda. Our bride switched to a fashion-forward, short and structured reception gown to further tie in the South Asian feel.

Scarlet Rose Events created many statement moments for this Camp Lucy wedding editorial, including a floral photo booth custom wall and a cake table surrounded by natural light at the head of the pagoda. Each element was thoughtfully placed to create an inviting atmosphere for guests while also highlighting what makes Camp Lucy so special.
