Nestled in the heart of Virginia’s horse country, the historic Red Fox Inn set the perfect backdrop for Amelia and Blake’s unforgettable fall wedding. As a Middleburg wedding photographer, I’ve captured many beautiful celebrations, but this one stood out for its dramatic style, heartfelt moments, and stunning attention to detail.
Amelia and Blake’s wedding was a layered celebration of love, laughter, and luxury. Planned flawlessly by Simply Chic Events, every element of the day was curated to reflect the couple’s elegant yet warm personalities. The garden ceremony unfolded under golden fall foliage. Guests cozied up in soft pashminas offered during cocktail hour. A perfect Hunt Country evening.
The reception was held under a dramatically draped tent, with rich crimson fabrics cascading from the ceiling, creating an intimate, romantic atmosphere. The florals were lush and luxurious, with deep fall hues that perfectly matched the Virginia autumn. From the golden-hour portraits in the Red Fox Inn gardens to the breathtaking reception reveal, each moment felt like a scene from a classic film.
Amelia was the picture of timeless beauty in a simple but incredibly flattering gown. Her natural elegance and radiant smile made photographing her a dream. Blake looked equally dapper, dressed in a classic black tux that complemented the historic charm of the venue and the formal aesthetic of the evening.
And then, there was the cheese. During the toasts, laughter echoed through the tent as Amelia and Blake received a surprise gift: a 70-pound block of Parmesan cheese. It was a hilarious and memorable moment that had everyone — myself included — laughing. The perfect blend of sophistication and humor, it summed up the couple’s vibe completely!
The dance floor was epic, with incredible lighting and a layout that kept guests on their feet all night. As a Middleburg wedding photographer, capturing the energy and joy during the reception is always a favorite part of the day, and this one did not disappoint.
