A Goodstone Inn Fall Wedding in Middleburg is always an exceptional experience, but Kara and Ryan’s day brought a unique blend of warmth, style, and emotion that made it unforgettable. As a Hunt Country wedding photographer, I’m lucky to work at some of the most beautiful venues in Virginia, and this one was nothing short of stunning.

Chandon Jones Design planned the day with creativity and care, filled with thoughtful touches from beginning to end. The color palette featured soft greens and creams with subtle pops of blue, perfectly complementing the fall scenery around the Goodstone estate.

Guests were welcomed to the outdoor ceremony with warm apple cider, a cozy and inviting detail that set the tone. The ceremony took place in front of the ivy-covered wall—lush, romantic, and timeless. As Kara walked down the aisle, the sun caught her golden hair, she was a true vision of beauty!

Following the ceremony, guests gathered around the pool for cocktail hour, where they were surprised with hand-painted drawings made just for them. The setting overlooked the rolling hills of Middleburg, a breathtaking backdrop for laughter, conversation, and toasts.

Dinner was hosted in the atrium, where every detail was considered. The tables featured painted-patterned plates, velvet-tied napkins, and lush seasonal florals that brought the room to life. The warm tones of the space, combined with the candlelight and thoughtful design, made it feel like a private dinner in a beautiful greenhouse.

One of the most emotional parts of the day came during speeches when Kara’s stepfather gave a moving tribute to loved ones who had passed. The room was quiet, and the weight of that moment stayed with everyone. Throughout the evening, there were many quiet embraces, tears of joy and remembrance, and a steady stream of genuine connection on the dance floor.

Kara and Ryan’s connection was evident through the entire day. They were relaxed, happy, and fully present-this made their day such a joy to photograph.

As the evening continued, the celebration circled back to the pool for late-night cake, martinis, and snuggles under the stars. Sunglasses came out, shoes came off, and the energy was high in the best way. It was the kind of party you wish wouldn’t end.
